Like I said before, I have been getting so m any newbies in lately. Which I LOVESSS!!! One of the best parts ( besides the pics) is having the kiddos come back throughout the first year. I get to see them sit up, laugh, walk and start to talk. I almost feel like part of the family with my long time clients.

Here is one little guy whose sister I photographed when she was a newbie. Well now she is the proud big sister of Mr. B! Miss S is already two years old and is the cutest little spunky girlie ever! Here she is with mama and dada just before baby arrived.

Sessions will be held on April 23rd and 24th and last 45 minutes each. Sessions will begin at 8 in morning. There are a limited number of sessions available, and sessions will sell out quickly, so be sure to contact me as soon as possible to schedule your appointment. The full session fee must be paid for in advance to reserve your spot. There are no refunds on mini-sessions. However, you are free to use your mini session fee towards a full session or give your time slot to someone else. You may book a single or double session and receive double the time and products!

Congrats Cade Family!

Not too long ago I took some pictures of their son Chace and now he is a big brother! Here he is! Such a cutie! He was a little sensitive at first about his sleeping and at one point the song ' she works hard for the money' popped into my head while Mr K was fussin. But he did finally give up his No Sleep fight and fell into a peaceful slumber just long enough to let me get some cute shots in for mom and dad.

......about changing my 'speciality' to newborns, and whether or not I should call myself a newborn photographer but I also do children and families or just keep it the way it is. It seems I am getting less and less family portrait sessions and more and more newborn sessions. I LOVE my newborns and I'm so glad I'm getting so many in, I'm just trying to decide if that's what I should make my business about since I get so many in???

HMMM what do you guys think?

And I KNOW you were, tonight for dinner I am serving up pork tenderloin with raspberry dijon sauce and haricot vert with almonds( a fancy way of saying pork with raspberry jam and green beans with almonds) MMMM soooo good and easy to make :-d

Here is the recipe for the pork:

1 pork tenderloin( 1 lb.) cut into 1/2 inch slices
1 tsp garlic pepper
2 tsp canola oil ( i just used PAM to coat the pan)
1/2 c. seedless raspberry jam
2 tsp dijon mustard
2 TBSP red wine vinegar

1. Flatten the cut pork slices to 1/4 inch thickness. In a large non stick skillet coated with cooking spray over medium heat cook pork in batch for 2-3 minutes per side. remove and keep warm.

2. In the same skillet add the jam, vinegar and dijon mustard. Stir occasionally and bring to boil. reduce heat and simmer for one minute or until sauce thickens. Serve over pork and YUM! eat it up :-d

For the green beans I bought the fresh green beans in the steamer bags, and nuked em for 5 minutes. I toasted some almonds on the stove until almost brown then added the green beans, a tiny bit of no calorie spray butter and salt and pepper. mmmmmmmm

The WHOLE Meal - 3-4 oz of pork with 2 tsp of sauce and about 1 c. of beans = 400 cals! WOOHOO

I have been slacking so bad on the blog over the past few months! I guess with Good starting first grade and Toot staying home with me this year I just became focused on these two. I don't think I have visited or written anything since September!

I guess this may be part of my new years resolution, to blog more! I also need to lose weight, clean my house more and do better with money. HAHA- I wonder if I can do all of these plus be wife, mom and business owner. we shall see. :)

I must say the little guy made me a tad bit nervous at first, I thought he wasn't going to cooperate. But soon enough he relaxed and fell fast asleep in mommies arms and we got some adorable shots of him!

I was so honored to be there to photograph little {Ns} Birth-day. I can't believe how long mama was in labor with the little guy. Mom and Dad went into the hospital very early that morning and he didn't arrive until after 8pm that evening! WHEW! Lots of work mom and dad. You both did great! Mama was SO strong and daddy was a great coach. And it was all worth it to welcome this beautiful little bundle of joy.

Celebrating this moment with families is so wonderful to me. I cry every time and that first moment of life is such a treasure. This is something I love to do and I look forward to capturing many more 'birthdays'!

My ham-balls!

I LOVE that my kids love to get their picture taken. I say that hoping not to jinx it :) I also say that knowing that they love it when I do it. I'm not so sure how well they would do with someone else.

My youngest is such a ham. Every time I say- hey you guys wanna go take some pictures? He responds- " YEEEEAAAAHHH!!! " He friggin loves it! and so do I. It's awesome. not only do I get to update my photos often but I also get to try out new things with them all the time. I hope it lasts, he is three years old now and I'm really surprised he does so well and doesn't take off running.

My older one is another story. It sucks because he has the greatest face for photos. I love his golden hair, crystal blue eyes, speckly freckles and porcelain skin. When he cooperates he photographs so well. I think he is just getting older and past the point where it's not so easy to entertain him. I can get a few photos every once in a while, but for the most part its like pulling teeth.

Anyways I thought I'd update you guys with a few photos of Toot and Goob! Enjoy :) Oh and YES- I did color their hair- it's a long story but they made me do it and 'snip-it's' is partly to blame.

Ok, I ain't gunna lie, photographing multiple children can be tough. The young ones - even tougher- twins or triplets...?!!- pft forget it!
BUT I was proven wrong by brothers {O} and { J} or as I like to call them- OJ! heheh

I've been photographing these two for three years now and I think they love me :D They ALWAYS do so well at sessions. I don't want to jinx it for the future so I am not gonna brag about these guys too much, instead I will just let you see for yourself! Can you believe they are only 3 years old??! MAMA- call the modeling agency and book these guys!

They take direction so well and are so photogenic. I can't wait until their little bro gets just a tad bigger so I can get some fun smiles out of him too! You wait nine long months and finally the day comes to deliver your perfectly perfect little bundle of joy! These are the moments that should really be captured on film. Whether its thru video or photography these are the moments to document. As a mother of two myself I can tell you just how important this is. You are so overwhelmed with everything going on in the hospital that you barely get to 'experience' much other than nurses in and out, monitoring, contractions and at times feeling very powerless.

With my first son I went into my doctors office at 9am thinking my water had broken only to find out it was not amniotic fluid and I was dilated at 3. She did tell me that I should go walk and I would have the baby by the evening. Well after walking all day at the mall and feeling no contractions or progress I decided to go into the hospital at 11pm just in case there were any surprises in the evening. After we arrived everything else is a mix matched blur. I finally delivered my son at 2pm the next day! If it weren't for the video we have of everything that day I would have missed a lot. My second was delivered via C- section so we have even less to document the day but I'm so glad we have everything that we do. After having my first son I realized I wanted to capture everything could with my kids. I had maternity photos done of my second child, I took his newborn photos, and since then I cannot put my camera down.

I had the opportunity to photograph a past client, now a very dear friend's birth of her second child recently. I was so honored to be there for them. I arrived just in time and shed a teeny tear when baby arrived. My emotions were not just for the arrival of their new baby, but the love shown so strongly between the new mommy and daddy. I love capturing these moments. You can see the love in every photo. Here is a small peek into their very special moment. Enjoy =)

As said so many times before I love when clients come back for more!

Meet the Wood Family! They are expecting their second child very soon. I was there to photograph the maternity session of their first baby, her newborn pictures, 6 month photos, first year and here we are waiting on the arrival of Little A's baby brother.

We have done so many sessions that I have become very close to this family. I can't wait until baby brother E arrives! I feel like Aunt Pitter Patter :D

You can wait for the arrival right along with me by watching him grow a little bit more in mommy's tummy. Once he arrives I will let you know!

Time for High School Graduation!

Congrats Seniors 2010! You have worked hard and made it through 4 years of high school- the world opens their doors and welcomes you to a whole new life. This really is a time to hold onto and cherish, before you know it there will be full time jobs, bills, marriage and more!

World- Welcome Cedar Park High School Senior- {Justin}. Justin is such a handsome, well mannered, and intelligent young man. He was so cooperative and sitting in front of the camera seemed so natural and easy for him :) We had a lot of fun finding some cool modern and grungy places to shoot and found some neutral - natural areas as well. Congrats J - and good luck in everything that lays ahead of you!

{I'd love to get more senior guys in here to take some photos. I know it's not as common, but mom and the 'girls' will love them!} ;-)

I had so much fun with our girl time- modeling session! All the ladies came to pose and show off the hair accessories to use on Kendra's website. The little ones did excellent the whole time and all the moms and ladies got to chit chat and joke around while we were taking portraits and fixing up the hair and makeup. I really loved it, even though I was working it felt like I was just hanging out with friends! I <3 you guys!

No more SIckly Babies!!!

Kaedon had his tonsillectomy done on the 17th. FINALLY! I haven't posted much about it here but he has had strep throat EVERY month since october of '09. DEVERY month! ugh. My poor little goober. I had it a lot as a kid and my Dad has his tonsils removed when he was young. I can't believe with how many time Goob had it that no one else in the house really got sick. I did catch it in MArch and Toot got it one time in January but that's all that got passed around. Amazing- it only went after GOob :/

At least we got the tonsillectomy done- there is a chance he could still get strep but omg I going to move if he get's it again. He missed so much school this year and we had to go to the Pedi at least once a month. Everyone cross your fingers that it doesn't come back. I want my little trooper to enjoy his summer without anymore sore throats!

And Spunky, and have energy, and youthfulness, and beauty, and no worries.... Senior Sessions really have me reminiscing about high school! During the session I almost feel like I am still there, of course I have no clue about the semi 80s style going on right now and wonder if I like like an old person trying to be cool! Then they will have some term and I have no clue what they said and I snap back into reality! LOL

I do love senior session though. Amazing how quickly these sessions go and how easy the teens are! I'm so used to 1-5 year olds who could care less that they are in front of my camera that when a high school senior comes along I freak out! I love it :D I get to go do fun funky sessions in awesome locations, use color and creativity a little more and typically no running involved. LOL

Here is Sima from Westwood High School- she is such a beauty! I love meeting her and her mom, the sweetest family ever! We spent most of the early evening downtown and found all kinds of places to shoot. Then it finally got a little to dark and we were worn out and sweaty so we called it a night!

Just a lil' update

I can't believe I haven't posted about the kids birthdays! Toot and Goob just turned 3 and 6! Gosh I can't believe how big they are getting. Toot is catching up to Goob so fast! Talking non stop and running all over the place, and Goob is just about done with Kindergarten! They are both doing so good :)

Goob's party was magic themed and we had the coolest magician to host the party. We had a very good turn out and the kids loved it- I think it was pretty amusing for the adults as well. Everyone had a blast. I think I may just hire entertainers for the kids every year, it was much more simple than chuck E Cheese or Gattiland, and so much fun. He did some awesome tricks and afterwards made balloon animals for the kids. I think this was great for 5-8 year olds, not cheesy and they could participate and get what was going on. The kids sat for the whole hour and were so consumed with the magic show. And so was I! LOL We had Chris Fetters from Balloon People, If you ever need a magician for a show he was awesome!

Toot had a Spiderman birthday- of course! He has been in love with Spidey since he turned 2. I think he saw the movie once at that point and that was it! Now he has probably watched all three movies about 15,908,999 times. I think he's working his way up to a billion! Spidey and Mary Jane came, played parachute games with the kids, read stories and made balloon animals. Toot was a little apprehensive at first, but finally warmed up and even gave Spidey a hug :) Check out Alley Cat's Imagination for kid's party entertainers!

I recently met up with a new online boutique owner in Austin! I am super lucky that I get to take some photos for her advertising and website www.birdieand peanut.com. They look great on infants and little girls but are also great for teens and adults!

Once I saw them I was so inspired to start doing my hair more and wearing these nifty little pieces. My favorite part is that they all snap on with tiny buttons so everything is interchangeable. Don't' want to wear the same flower? need to change colors to match your wardrobe?, Just pop it right off and trade out with a different option. My favorites are definitely her colorful and vintage inspired flowers.

A Model in the making....

I had the pleasure of photographing Miss C's first 'modeling session' at 6 months old and didn't think I could love her more, until she turned one and proved me wrong.

She was so happy, and cooperative- one of my easiest mobile one year olds ever! Check her out- strike a pose!

Smiles and Sunshine was all this little beauty brought with her to her first year session. We definitely spent a while with her and she pushed through for me. I found new light in a location I have used frequently and fell in love with it all over again.

He's growing up!

I love when I get to see kids go from newborn- to 6 months - to a year and so on!

This is little {A} whose newborn photos were done a little over 6 months ago.

He is already getting so big! From sleeping angel to the cutest smiling perfect little model! He did SO good at his session- hamming it up!

I swear he has done this before, he sat perfectly looked straight into my lens, and said, "ok lady - I'm ready for my closeup!"

From sleeping newbie to sitting up chunky monkey!

I have to say Mr J is definatley a calm little man. I remember how well he did at the newborn session, and he continued his mellow mood into his 6 month photos. We did get a little excitement here and there but I think he was going for the serious 'James Dean' look this time. He even has the same hair..

I have to say he may even be cuter than the first time I saw him, I'm lovin the chunk rolls, and he still has the same pucker-check out those lips!

Whether totally asleep or wide eyed, these two were so adorable and tons of fun during their session.

I can't believe how alert Mr. {G} was. I think he stared me down almost the whole session, except for the 15 minutes that he slept.

Of course then his little sister {E} was hamming it up - with her perfect teeny model poses!

Yesterday I got to attend a pretty cool cake show in Central Austin! I was all ready to go and take some awesome pictures of these fabulous fun makes made by some super talented locals, and realized that I did not bring a memory card for my camera :(

I still had fun tho with an awesome friend, then we went to grab some lunch and decided to stop by All in one Bake Shop to get supplies for Goob's birthday cake on Saturday. My friend is an awesome cake maker and I get to help out with Goob's cake for his party this weekend. After seeing the cakes at the show and talking about the process with some of the people there and at the Bake store I'm really inspired and excited to get started. We are planning on getting it done Thursday night. I won't spill the beans yet, but It's gonna be a 3D awesome cake and I can't wait til Goob see's it!!

Hi,

Just posting some pics of some new color ideas I did in the studio. I got some cute new hats this week, some for older kids and a few for babies that I ordered from etsy.com- I cannot WAIT for them to come in! I have a twin newborn session coming soon and I'm really excited to use these new hats.

I recently painted the stairs in my studio multi colors for the kiddos. Previously the studio wall all white to prevent color casts, but I decided to go with a more fun welcoming theme. I've started with my 'rainbow' stairs and a green wall that I am painting flowers on to use for little girls. I still want to paint the other walls or use wallpaper but I haven't confirmed any decisions on that yet. I have a few other plans as well to keep it fun and kid friendly, once it is all done I will post pics! Here are some I took the other day just to see how the stairs looked in the background - suhweet!

I still need to do some touch ups and pull the tape of, but I love the color, and these pics aren't even edited :D

I also used these to make my son's birthday card invitation, this is the front side, the back has all the bday info....

Today I got to help out at my Goob's Vday party at school! MMMMMMM we got to have ice cream Sunday's, then watch the kids amazement as they opened Valentine cards from their friends.

OMG I can't wait until all these babies are born!!!

My last post about Ms {H }with her teeny tiny baby belly is due pretty soon and now I have the awesome pics of the {F} family who are having twins!! Congrats mommy and Daddy- I cannot wait to meet these little guys. I have not had the pleasure o photographing twin newborns in at least a year or more so I am extremely excited to play with this pair. I am also relishing in the fact that they are a boy and girl so I get to mix it up with fun props and color. Ahh double the pleasure, double the fun!

Good luck to the mommies who are due in the near future and those of you have scheduled soon!

Year of the workshop....

I guess I could call this year "the year of the workshop". As my friends C would say "I am grasshopper-teach me your ways oh wise one!" lol

Since I plan to bump up the business this year I have been researching more then ever on marketing, advertising, templates, tips and advice and I finally get to do some workshops to learn more about the business side - of my business :D

This is whole other side of photography that many people do not think about or consider. You must have a talent and eye for photography as well as skill and creativity, but to maintain a business there are some very important key elements you must know to make it last and work. I think one of the most important aspects is pricing which I discussed a little in my previous post. This is something that can be very tough to figure out when you start at a small price then realize you cannot afford to keep your business if your rates do not increase. I think I have finally come to that realization and have accepted that it takes money to make money. I have also really started to value my work more than ever, found my inner confidence and lately it has really started to blossom. I feel like I have learned so much about myself and where I stand as a photographer in this market and that has made me better and strive for so much more. I am now setting goals and making plans for my future in this business.

Some of the most helpful tools I have found are workshops and tips and advice from other photographers. A lot of help has come from my photographer friends in the area while other useful info has come from workshops such as Skye Hardwick's workshop workbook, photovision videos for 2009 and 2010, and I plan to see others this year from the joy of marketing, and possibly get to travel and meet some awesome photographers that I admire and aspire to be before the year ends. I think its so great and helpful that there are so many other photographers out there who are willing to give out this information for those of us that may be stuck or need that help with these issues. I am soaking this stuff up like my two year old son does with me. I am clinching to every word and reviewing the books, my notes and dvd's over and over. I can't wait to see the other ones I have planned for in the future and see how all of it changes my business practices and views. I hope to really establish my business and become even more upscale and professional this year. As I have said before there are bigger and better changes in the future for pitter patter photos and soon they will come into effect!

Meet Mr. and Mrs. {H} they are expecting baby Vivien here very soon. Can you believe mama is about 36 weeks in these photos!

Oh my gosh how I wish that would have been me! Instead I gained 50 lbs and almost 6 years later I still have that and possibly more to lose! UUGHHH

I am a big lazy butt tho and hate exercise and it seems that everytime I get into a diet and exercise routing there are family issues or major changes in my life that disrupt my progress, then I never pick it back p again. Uh- maybe mother nature just wants me to be warm all the time so she covers me in fat. HA!

Anyways I do get the joy of photographing some beautiful mama's and of course afterwards their precious mini me's. I can't wait til little Viv gets here! And I love her name- too cute.

What a way to welcome 2010! Scheduling a session with Pitter Patter Photos!

Ok Ok I know that was cheesy but honestly have you ever thought about how important family photos are to you? Pictures have always been a big deal to me, not only because I love taking them and expressing my creativity and artistic side, but because I truly value and treasure the memories that photos capture. Photographers not only provide forever keepsakes of these moments but the quality and creativity that we share in your photos in something to truly value.

Most of you know that I do not know my mother. When I was 3 years old her and my father separated and she was not fit at the time to care for me. Since then it has always been my dad and I. When they went their own ways my mother and her family kept many of the photos that I never received or have even seen. This is why pictures mean so much to me. I have NO baby photos of myself and can never share these with my children. I do not have any pictures of myself and my family when I was a baby or toddler. I don't even know if my kids looked like me when I was a kid. I really do wish I had some of these now, I wish there were ones that were stored better or taken better care of so I could see the details. There is no value on this to me. My husband does not have many childhood photos either and we both agree this would be one of the first things we would grab if there were ever a fire or tragedy with our home. Photos are one of the easiest ways to hold on to your memories. Along with remembering your children's faces or your own from years past.

One of the best parts about hiring a photographer or using a digital camera is that you can store so many files on your pc, or cd's. There are even tons of websites that store your photos for you. Of course backing up your files is important but this is a sure way to keep those memories forever.

I'm so glad that I do this for a living because it makes me take so many more family photos then I ever would have before. I also learn something new from every shoot I do with my kids or each new session with a client. I hope you can understand why this is a big deal for me and other photographers out there. We send a lot of time and effort away from our own families to give you something that we really believe in. I know I do not speak for every photog out there but this IS how I feel. I recently read an article about photography being an investment.

Here is a link to the article from MCP actions. One part that stuck out the most to me is this :

" how much did you spend on your living room furniture? $3,000? How much did you spend on that big screen TV with surround sound? I have news for you – pictures last longer and are more important in the longrun. "

And you know what- it's true! That is one of the best comparison's and selling points I have ever read. These photos will last forever and they are something that you will value and be so happy that you did. I have never heard a client say that they were sorry to have taken photos or had a professional take them, but one thing I have heard repeatedly is that they wished they would had done it sooner....

Wow! Can you believe its already 2010!!

I remember the year 200 when everyone was freaking out about the millennium disaster, then Y2K!! I graduated high school ten years ago, have had two kids, definitely had some ups and downs, bought a house, new car and now have my own business. I never thought this is where I would be when I filled out the "where do you see yourself 10 years from now" questions in my high school memory book. I so glad I am here. I don't think I would have wished it to go any other way. I hope the next ten years are even better and I can't wait to move everything up with Pitter Patter Photos. I really do intend to offer some fabulous new products and raise the bar on my photography this year.

I thank all of you for you support and help with everything in 2009. I hope this year brings much love, laughter and tons of smiles to you and your family.

Changes, Changes...

So I am hoping to make some great new changes to the website, blog and product options in the new year. I'm still trying to figure out exactly what packages to offer, what products to include and how to improve my marketing and advertising.

I do know that I will have a new set of backgrounds and props to use for the studio and outdoors use, hopefully some new lenses from Santa, and a fun new creative and unique style for family and child portraits.

If you would like to book a session for 2010 now is the best time to lock in rates from 2009. This way you get a nice discount and save in the new year! A Little Hero

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of meeting The {C} Family.

Their son -{H} has Angelman syndrome.

I signed up with the Littlest Heroes Project last year and got approved in February of 2009. Well not long after my approval the site went down for maitenance and server trouble. The family had found me but I never got the message until now when mommy decided to contact me herself. I still decided it was best to do the shoot as a "hero" session, and I'm so glad I did!

The family was so sweet and {H} was the most fun and sweetest little boy ever! He did so great letting me take his picture, and I have to say he is such a handsome model ;-)

And we can't forget to mention his little sister .

She was such a spunky little stinker but she did let me get a few pics of her and her brother!

Little Big Man

I usually don't have much luck with babies between the ages of 2 and 5 months old, mainly due to the fact that they have realized how awesome mom and dad are and most other people don't come close to their coolness. But there are also small physical issues like the fact that they cannot sit up yet, some have head stabilization issues, aka- bobble head syndrome...or we have the giganto boys like little big man here :

This little guy was not much different in size than my own two kiddos but its definitely not easy to smush him into any props! :D

Little Ry did exceptionally well during the session tho. I must admit I was a little nervous and had a hard time planning what to for the session because of the typical 3 month old limitations. However he was such a smiley little model and loved sitting with mommy and daddy. I was really excited to get shots of him on his own and amazingly even got a few of him asleep! I definitely have a fondess for the chubbers and now I wish we could have got more of his round rolls before the session was finished. Ah well.. maybe next time....

Here is Little {Ry} at 15 weeks old - and I have to let his fellow youngsters know that he was an excellent model so if they need any modeling tips maybe they can give him a call.. :D

I just thought I'd give you guys a tiny glimpse into my life by posting a small video of my kiddos.

Here is Little Toot singing his ABC's, the Itsy Bitsy spider and Twinkle Twinkle Little star.

We also have some cute animals sounds and my Big boy, Goob at the end of the video. They also let everyone know that we love them, including my dad- AKA Pappy :)

I think it's super cute, although I am slightly biased....

I love when I have returning clients!

This family is so much fun and It's so exciting to see how much the kids have grown in the last year! I can't believe these guys are already 5 years old! The always do so great at the sessions and have fun taking the pictures with mom and dad and each other. You can see so much love within the whole family, and the brothers have tons of fun together.

I had the pleasure of taking Ms. L's maternity photos and now little R has arrived!

This little guy wanted nothing to do with sleep so instead we got some shots of that super cute face while he watched the whole thing! Once I left him alone he was so calm and we even got a super cute Christmas shot inside Santa's boots. Big Brother B even took a few pics with mom and dad. Then he decided playing inside was more fun so he let little bro take the spotlight. Mom and Dad definitely have their hands full with these two! Hope you guys are getting some zzzz's in. :)

I have decided that two year olds do not care about cameras or having their picture taken. Mine doesn't, friends kiddos could care less, and new client childrens forget I am there. I need some new strategies. Singing, honking bike horns in public, and jumping around like a crazy person does not seem to work! lol Maybe I shall just bring candy every time. Watch out mom and dad, if m&m's get me a good picture then that is what I will have to do.

I definitely get some of the cutest kids to photography but they sure are a lot of work. Mr. C definitely gave me a workout. He is such a sweetheart, but sitting still for more than a half a second was not an option. He is definitely a two year old! Super cute and super mischievous!

Just like my own little Tooter.

They should get together sometime. Imagine me trying to get any pictures of that! OMG I can just see myself running around after these two little rugrats saying, look here, there's a monkey in my camera, BEEP BEEP, HEY, KIDS, OVER HERE, until I get louder and louder and so worn out I just end up passing out on the ground and laying there like a big worn out mommy blob!

Wow! I feel like it has been forever.

I've been pretty busy lately. Whether it's emailing, working on shoots, taking photos or just living life I have had NO time to blog!

I'm lovin this! I very rarely would get newborn baby in the past, especially ones who were at the perfect picture taking age! Now they are just flooding in!

Little Man is less than two weeks old in these pictures! He did so great modeling for me and it wasn't a million degrees out so I even got the chance to get some natural light pics in! WOOT!

His family have only been living here for about amonth and they came all the way from Cali. What a trip! Sell house, find new house far far away, buy, move, have baby! whew!

Since I had to of my own little chunks I definitely go goo-goo over the chubby babies. Who could not love all those little baby rolls and chipmunk cheeks.

Last weekend I had a previous client come get some family photos and get some in of their new addition! Well.. she's not SO new anymore- here she is at 6 months!

ADORABLE- I know :)

I've got to say this is one awesome family to work with. Never a complaint, super funny and energetic - and three beautiful children. They were one of my first clients to ever step outside the "traditional" photo shoot.

There first session was outdoors, on a playground, playing, laying in the grass and being a fun modern family.

I love them- and their new beautiful girl :)

Ok, I'm about to pass out.......zzzzzzzzzz..........WAIT! I'm back. That's about a short of a nap as I'm gonna get these days!

I have decided that August is definitely my busiest month of the year. This year in part to offering my services to a local moms' group.

I joined a Pflugerville moms group this summer - since we just moved - to make some new mommy friends. Everyone has been great and I love the group because there are kids of all ages and a lot of the playdates a re close by. I decided to offer a group photo session to members with one or two free pictures for each family. Well little did I know that almost everyone would jump on that offer!! LOL

Hey I would too if someone offered it to me :)

I had over 20 mommies sign up within 2 days and about 30 kiddos to come along with those mamas! Not only did I have these shoots to do, but I had three the weekend before that and a newbie the weekend after. I am beat.

I have two more sessions this weekends, some next week, etc.... Book your sessions now people! I'm not joking when I say this is the busy season. I've seen stores putting up Christmas decorations already so you know people are going to be sure to get these photos in before I am all booked up!

Anyways, the pictures went very well. I only had a couple kiddos who could care less that I was trying to take their picture. They were definatley more interested in my toys or leaving the studio all together! haha

Even with the "new to photo session" kiddos I think we got some great pics! I love the little pouty faces, the crazy laughs and giggles, and even the 2 year old jumping monkey children.

Newbie {S}

Little S came early!! We weren't supposed to do her pictures until September - I guess she gave mom and Dad quite a surprise when she arrived on August 9th!

But here she is, a perfect little bundle of cute :)

She has been one of the best little models ever. I can't believe she let me move her around, put hats on her and basically pretend she was a little doll for 3 hours! She needed a little mom time, and some snack time but she really did great!

Weekends of Photo Shoots!!!

WOW- what a busy weekend, and week, and probably coming wekend too :-P

I had three shoots last weekend, a large meetup group session this week and another client shoot this coming Saturday! I need to get movin- editing, burning disks and blogging!!

I'm glad it's getting busy again. With the kids in school I really need this to become a full time thing. I will be happy when I get at least 3 sessions in a week. Then I will have the other weekdays to process the photos and the rest of the time to get the disks out then spend time with the kiddos and family.

Over the weekend I got to do pictures with 3 AWESOME families. First up was a maternity session with this lovely mama who is expecting her second child.

At first her little booger wanted nothing to do with my house or the studio, but he finally warmed up and we got some really cute pictures of mommy, son and their new baby.

I'll post some from the other two shoots later in the week, but for now enjoy some mommy son moments!

My kids are getting old! Which I guess means I am also getting old.. Wow- time sure does fly!

Ok Ok, they aren't THAT old yet! Kaedon started Kinder today! What a big boy, he put his backpack on, told me what he wanted to wear and eat for lunch, got to school- found his seat with his name, and said- "bye Mom" I can't believe it's already here.

I remember when I could hold him forever, and now it lasts about 10 minutes. I didn't get weepy today, although now I am thinking abut his baby years. I love my kids. So so much. I hope they grow to be everything I want them to. Smart, loving, hopeful, optimistic, fun, empathetic, but keep the kid inside always. I hope they grow up to be everything they want to be.. an Space man and Spiderman!

We also accomplished the impossible feat of getting Toot a haircut today! He never had many problems going to the lovely stylists at Snip-its, but last month we went in as normal and he flipped out. It was so bad we had to leave and I thought he had become a Tonsurophobic overnight. Fortunately he did GREAT this time! Whew- at one point he even had a little mullet :)

FINALLY! I finally got to use the studio! WooHOO.

I got to take these guys pictures last year when they were only 3 months old! Wow- they have grown so much. Now they are everywhere and I'm amazed I got them to sit long enough to get some picture time in! We did get some really cute shots and I can't wait for mom and dad to see. I love the blue paper and I even got some awesome ones of the kids individually!!

The lights and studio worked great. We played with toys, tried peek a boo, and daddy got the kids cracking up big time! When we were all done little G even said she had fun! YAY!

Gosh I am SO sick of this friggin heat! You think being born here I would be used to it by now, but how do you get used to it when it just gets hotter and hotter every year??

I cannot WAIT until winter, then I can actually enjoy the pool in mid Jnauray at 70 degrees! :-p

I've been working on the studio and we finally have it about done. I'm still putting in a few shelves and cleaning it out today but other than a few decor pieces it should be ready tomorrow! Jut in time for my twin shoot. I have a previous client coming by to get some pictures of her kiddos to put in their playroom. She has 1 year old twins (whose pictures I took when they were just a few weeks old) and a 3 year old daughter who is such a pretty little girl. It's been a year since I saw them last so I can't wait to se how everyone has grown.

Plus I get to finally use the real studio instead of the extra room in my house!! Woopee

This is my friends daughter Reese :D I swear she gets cuter everytime I see her. She just had her 2nd birthday so I got a chance to visit and her mama let me take a few pics of her out in Buda. They live so far from us so I dont' get teh oppurtunity often, but I wasn't going to pass this one up!

She is looking more and more like her mama every day. I know this girl is going to be such a heartbreaker someday! I love this age too. She has about 10,000 different expressions and I managed to catch a few. We got a few of her a her big bro too. he is so great with her. These two are definatley best pals. They even have another sibling on the way. Mama better call me for those pictures!!!

Guess What?!

Recently I had a member of www.mommy2baustin.com email me asking if I would like to put an ad in their magazine. Since my kids will both be in school soon this is the best time for me to start advertising. This way if I get busy I won't have to turn anyone down because I will have time to do shoots during the week and work on photos without the chilluns pulling at my sides the whole time.

I need more newborns!

I wish I knew more pregger people because I love taking pictures of the newbies! Of course they can be fussy, wet and stinky but it is so worth it to get some awesome shots of the little buggers. :-P

I love the newness and freshness of them. It's always best to get some photos of them within the first week so they stay asleep and allow you to pose them like a pretzel.

This is Little Baby Davanee. I LOVE her name. How original and unique. Her daddy even made it up :) She has got to be the sweetest little angel ever. It did take some time to get her in the modeling mood but once she did it worked out great. Here are a fee shots of the little beauty from Saturday.

Trip to Pappy's house

I got to spend the weekend with my dad, which was pretty nice. He lives out in the country near Dripping Springs. I don't make it out there much but when I do I love it! The kids love to explore and I love to sit and listen to the quiet :) I never thought of myself as much of a country girl, but I guess I really am. It's a good thing I have two boys because I dont' know what I wold have done out there with a daughter.

When my kids were born I decided on the name "pappy" for my dad because I wanted something unique and a little quirky. I decided Pappy was fitting because my dad is somewhat hillbilly-hippy and his first name is Bob. How funny would it be for my dad to be Pappy Bob! HA

He friggin hates it, and he always tells the kids- "no. I'm Grandpa," but I say- no dad, they live with me and hear me say it all the time so you will have to accept tha fact that you are pappy :)

I think the best part of it is that Little Toot will call my dad Pappy - Pappy's House or, my favorite- Happy! He will sit there all day long and say" Hey Happy, lets go play, or Pappy's House- where are youoooo???" LOL

I love it! Here are some pics of the kiddies having fun on Dad's property and playing on his old truck in the backyard.It was so nice to relax and play with my camera. I got to use some of my new props, my dads old rust bucket, and play with the sunlight! I never get to do shoots in the evening so I'm really happy that I got some awesome Flare Shots! Love ya Dad! Can't wait to go back this week and get some cool antiques from his house to use for pics :)

Sooo What do you do when you have nothing to do? Well if you are a photographer then you take pictures of course! I haven't' done any of me and the boys in a while so I thought it was about time. I don't think I have ever done any b&w's with my black background so I thought I'd do something different. I actually like em. I want to edit out the words on their shirts, but other than that I'm happy.

I had the pleasure of meeting this family last summer when the boys we turning one. And I got to do another shoot and WOW have they grown. Now the boys are two and they are so big and full of life. We had a lot of fun shooting at the park and daddy was cracking them up the whole time. I love these guys- I can't wait til next time :D

At the Fire Station! Of course it's hot everywhere right now. Whew Summertime.

Saturday I got to take pictures of a 3 year old fireman birthday party! We got to meet fire fighters and even play on the fire truck. This has got to be a 3 year old dream. Another maternity shoot! Baby is not here yet, but she will be soon! And boy am I excited! I hope I get to do her pictures since she is a girl. I love using all the pink, flowers, bubbles and fun girl stuff. I guess being home with two boys all day makes me crave the girl time.

I got to do this shoot just to put some updated pics on my website. I'm not sure if you guys have noticed but I have been changing up my style quite a bit. I definitely have a love for color and creativity and when I get to use fun props and play with ideas at my shoots I have so much fun! Beki and Jason were awesome and I'm so happy that I've had so many shoots recently where I've got to experiment and try out new stuff! I'm loving it! I can't wait until almost everything on my site shows my new style. Here are a few sneak peek photos- the couple hasn't even got to see them yet!

New friends

I love making new friends, and its a bonus when I meet them as clients from my website. I've done a few sessions for Amber, and its awesome to see her go thru the pregnancy and now watch her little girl grow up. She came over yesterday to hang out, chat, and eat Chinese food with me, ;-P And of course I got to take pictures of her sweet baby.

Not only do I get a friend, but the cutest baby model ever :D See- Bonus! lol.

Welcome Little {B}

Ta- Da! Here he is. Fresh from the oven, only 12 days old!

If you look back to my last maternity shoot you can see him when he was still baking. He came a little early for mom and dad on May 19th. He is such a cutie. This is the most adorable family. You can see so much love between them and little B already knows so well who mommy and daddy are.

I hope I get the opportunity to watch him grow and do more sessions in the future. Welcome to the world Ben :)

Viva Las Vegas!!

Whew! What a week! We just got back from our 5 day vacation to Vegas! What a cool Place. Sin City is definitely a great nickname for the city. Our kids got to spend the week with their Oma and Papa in Corpus playing on the beach and visiting their cousins. They had so much fun I'm not sure they even realized we were gone.

We stayed at the Mirage Hotel which was very nice. My husband is a huge blackjack player and he even taught me how to play. It took me a couple days but I think I got it down! I even played by myself a few times at some blackjack tables with other people! :P

We also got to see Wayne Brady and Lewis Black, and the funniest hypnosis show ever by Dr. Scott. I'm a big fan of comedy shows so my husband and I try to see them when we can. Lewis Black is one of my favorites and when we got to our hotel he was standing right outside. T noticed him and I got to have my picture taken with him! I was so excited, and didn't even know what to say. He was so nice and when I walked off I felt like "Baby" from dirty dancing when she carried the watermelons! Haha

I didn't get to take many pictures of us together but I got some nice ones of the PAris hotel and the Bellagio water show! If you ever go I definitely recommend seeing some shows.! IT kills some time between gambling and they have some very entertaining people there! We may even go back in September and see Blue Man group and Cirque Du Soleil

Corporate Headshots!

I've done a few head-shots before. Some for an actor, a few for a chiropractor, etc... I did these for a company in Austin on Monday.

A previous client asked if I could do the head-shots for the company she works at and of course I jumped right on it! It's so funny how different it is to shoot kids and families to just adults. We are SO much more self conscious and critical of ourselves. Little kids will just play, run around and say cheese, while we have to fix our hair, makeup, and wear the perfect outfit. I just thought that was kinda funny. I did have fun taking these pictures. It was a nice change to have someone actually look at you when you wanted and flash their pearly whites! I should have made everyone say cheeeese and make silly faces. I wonder if it would have had the same effect as it does on the two year olds? heehee

Here are just a few from the bunch.. I just realized all of these women kinda look alike- they could almost be sisters. ..

Ahhhh...Spring Has Sprung!

You know how I know?? Huh huh? Because EVERYONE is pregnant! heehee

I love maternity sessions! It's basically like an engagement session, but we focus on the new mommy and daddy- and Belly! So much fun. And guess what, they listen! Maternity sessions are A LOT different than family or kiddo shoots. It's pretty easy to get a bazillion photos, but of course then I have to spend hours on the computer going through every single photo! Ah well, it's TOTALLY worth it!

I FINALLY got to do a downtown shoot. I LOVE color, urban and funky fun sessions. We went downtown yesterday and I met the cutest, most awesome couple ever! This session was so much fun for me because I got to take pictures that I've been dying to do forever.

Meet baby {B}

Ok so he's not here yet, but this is his mom and dad.

They are so silly and fun, willing to do anything, and are fantastic models!

They had a previous photographer that sadly had to move away. So they've got some experience with this whole picture taking thing.

Vintage Diva

So you should all know Little J by now.

I do pictures for his mommy(my Bff) once a month. I have also done a few of his big sister- K- before. I don't know why but lately I haven't really done any of her. She is the best picture taker ever! This girl will pose for you up and down and left and right. I think I'm going to make this a regular thing(as long as her mama lets me ). I have two boys so playing with the girlies is awesome for me. We get to play dress up and take pictures! What could be more fun than that!!! Ok, well the kids can get bored after a while, but I could do it forever.

Man, maybe next time I'll get dressed up... hmmmmmm ;-)

Triple the Cute!

I get lots of multiple shoots. Back in February 2008 I did a triplet family and she let her mommy friends know all about me :) I love the twins and triplets I get. They are so much fun to shoot. I love that so many of them look exactly the same but the have very distinct personalities.

This is the {L} family! I brought some of my props and costumes for the kiddos to play with. The plan was to use my tutu and awesome pjnk umbrella with the little girl and I had ties and blazers for the boys. Well who woulda guessed that Little Ms. Trump would pick the jacket an tie and her brother would be sporting a pink tutu the whole shoot! LOL

Gee that happens a lot. As I get older I just get constant brain farts!

Ok so now I remember! I am loving the new house! It's pretty cool thinking about the fact that this is our home and we will be here for a while. I know the plan is at least 6 years but I really want the kids to have some long term friends and stability in school, so we'll see what happens. I'm slowly but surely getting the garage ready for some studio time. I'm already getting tons of ideas. I also ordered my new light set last night and it shipped out today.SO I will probably get it sometime next week! YAY :D I can't wait to sit for hours on end trying to figure out how to work them perfectly...lol

I also posted that I launched the new site yesterday. Some of you may have looked today and realized it was blank, or there is an even newer site than the one you saw yesterday. I had a few glitches and issues with the template that I had worked on for months, so I got a refund and updated again! What you see now is the one you will be seeing for a while. I LOVE it! I love the large files, and everything I can do with products and galleries. There is still a little setup to do with the client section but so far its working great!

I'm rally excited that new and existing clients will get to see my work in a much better showcase!

I love you guys :) I even got a little emotional viewing the site today and remembering every shoot. All of you really mean alot to me- Thanks you SO much for choosing me to be your photographer.

Pitter Patter Photos- New website is LIVE

YAY! I finally finished my new site and it is up! Completely update with new galleries, pictures, colors and pricing. I got it online today, there are a few wrinkles that need ironing, but once those are steamed my masterpiece will be complete!

So.. I'm back in business people! I still need to get the studio fixed up and I will be ordering lighting soon, but for now everything is ready to go! Especially me. I have had a few shoots the last few months but BOY have I been itching for more. I need a photoshoot fix. I just haven't had enough while I was on my mini break.

Thanks so much to all of my clients for the past 2 years. You guys are awesome! I really enjoy catching up with you and scheduling new shoots with your families.

Growing up!

I love having multiple sessions with clients! Its almost like being a pediatrician- you get to see these kiddos every few months and watch them grow and blossom.

This is Audrey. I took her mommies maternity photos in 2008, her newborn pictures in October '08 and now we have her here at a whopping six months old! She has changed so much from the newborn stage and looks so different. I'm still trying to figure out if she looks more like mom or dad? I'm seeing lots of mommy in there, but I think it's a pretty even mix.

Poor girls had to sit there for me and be a model and she was so tired. I guess she got all excited about her photo shoot and couldn't take her morning nap before I arrived. She did so well, even with her sleepiness, and we got so many great shots.

Long time - No blog!

We have been soooooo crazy busy!

We closed on our new house on March 20th and since then we have had new floors put in, most of the rooms painted, building tons of furniture from IKEA, decorating and unpacking! Whew, who knew moving was so much work! :-P

Anyways, the house is Fabulous! I loves it :) We were going to paint the living room green, but couldn't decide on a shade that we both agreed on. They were either all camo looking, to bright, or resembled baby poo :/ So we went with option number two and decided on a bright sunny yellow. The actual color is called lemon sorbet, mmmmmmmm. Our master bedroom is a cool blue that we also used in our master bath to go with the accent tile. T decided to paint to walls in his office red, and my office has a pink accent wall. The kids room is green, and the bottom half has stripes to match their bedding. I still need to put up a chair rail to finish it off. We also did horizontal stripes in their bathroom with red, yellow, and orange.

Once we get it completely decorated I will post more pictures, but here area few to satisfy!

Photographer Playdate

We had another playdate today with my Flickr group! This time we went to Phil's Ice house and Amy's Ice cream. We got there WAY to early and the light was not cooperative at all today, but we still managed to get a few good pictures! It was only Callie and I today, but it was nice to have some time to chat. The kids did pretty good and had fun playing. Then we grabbed some lunch and ice cream- which was AWESOME! Check out the pics!

YAY! I got to go with my BFF photographer today and do family pics with her. I have been waiting forever to get these done and we FINALLY got the chance today. IT was a little difficult because Kaedon decide to act weird and whiny and we had both of our families there to take pics. Plus it was kinda cold and wet, but whateva- we took them anyways.

I LOVE how they turned out! We are still going thru them and just decided to give each other the originals so we could edit them ourselves. I think both of us will edit some of each others as well, just because we can't resist! LOL

I have barely any pictures of myself from before I was about 6 years old. Here are a couple that were in the email. Extra, Extra - Read all about It!

WOW! What a week! My last post was all about how stressed I was and I guess all I do to do was wait a few days.

We got quite a bit of good news news this week! Good news, weird news, and just news. First thing is Big T got a new job! SWEET! It seems like it took forever. He has had SO many interviews, phone calls and emails! I've been freaking out, worrying about getting the house, and then having the steady income coming in to PAY for the house, etc.. Well finally one of em called back and gave him an offer! He's getting a little bit more than his last job(amazingly with the economy) and great benefits. The only down side is that its a little far South, but we don't really care since he'll have one now when we move. He probably won't actually start until April 1st or so because of the moving, packing, flooring and painting.

2nd piece of info we got this week was that our loan was approved! I was a little worried because of the job situation, and I was just worried that something would go wrong. Hearing that it got approved was awesome and immediately lifted a big weight off my shoulders! I'm actually excited now and can't wait until next week when we can start shopping, painting, etc!! YAY
The builders also told us that they could keep the carpet out of the house and credit is the $1400 back since we are putting in our own wood flooring. That's sweet because we argued with them the whole time about just leaving the cement so it would be easier and quicker for us to put the floor in. So- another awesome! Earlier in the week we got a little bump in the loan process because we found out that with T's credit score being just below 680 that we couldn't get approved to get PMI. Well we HAVE to have it since we are only paying 5% down. We were going to get a conventional loan because they told us that was all we could get if we wanted it to show we were married without using my credit. It ends up that was not entirely right and we can actually do an FHA which lowers our interest rate, puts me on the loan, and helps with our mortgage amount. So after all that technical stuff( that I don't even know if I got right) it seems that all the house stuff is coming out better than originally thought.

And lastly I got the craziest phone call today! It wasn't bad, but very unexpected and surprising. Travis answered the phone and said it was for me, normally he doesn't answer if he knows the caller ID and its one of my friends- he just lets me get it. So I just figured it was a craigslister wanting to buy something. I answered and the lady on the other end tells me it's Lisa, my aunt.
This is my mom's sister. For those of you that know me, you are already probably pretty surprised. I haven't seen my mom since I was three years old. I don't know her or where she is and have no recollection of her or any of her family members. WHAT A SHOCK to get a phone call from her sister! I didn't even know what to say. She said she had being trying to find me for a while and didn't really talk to my mom. My mom is supposedly in California with her three other kids and doesn't talk to her family much. Lisa was very excited that I was even willing to talk to her, and was pretty excited that I was friendly and had no grudges or hard feeling towards any of the family. We ended up talking for a little bit about my mom, her kids and how much my Aunt loved me, etc.. We exchanged emails, numbers and addresses. I still am in shock a little bit. I'm sure that I will soon here from more distant family members. I have this whole other half of my life that I don't even know. I am 27 now and it has never bothered me, I never went searching for my mom or had terrible suppressed feeling that she didn't care about me. That is just my life. I grew up without her. I have my wonderful father whom I love very much, my kids and husband. That's all that matters. It was really weird to hear from her. She said she found me on Classmates! lol Crazy. I hope to keep in contact with her, and eventually maybe meet her and hopefully even my sisters and brother. There's so much more to this story than can be written in a blog, but it is really amazing to hear from my aunt after 24 years of no contact. Wow is all I can say. Man what a week, and it's only Thursday! Ha

InSanE in tHe MemBrAiN

OMG! I think I am going insane. We are supposed to close on our new house on the 20th! The 20TH people! I thought T was going to flip out, and here I am going insane. I don't really know why either? My anticipation, thoughts, and planning are all overwheleming and they are taking over. T is the one that has to swap over the utilities, get insurance, take paperwork to the loan company and find a job, and I'm over here running around like a chicken with my head cut off. What's wrong with me. I'm not only freaking out about the moving, shopping and decorating, but ever little bitty "life bump" I hit is about to make me explode. Having to tell the hubby anything more than once is making me crazy, needing quiet and getting none makes me cry, having to clean my house is just ... HA! not gonna happen.... AHHHHHHHHHHH

To top it all off- Today was my precious big boy's birthday party. He is getting so big, and I'm amazed at how much my heart swells just thinking about how much he has grown in the last 5 years. Whew, where did that time go. He starts kindergarten in August and I know once I say goodbye and get in the car, the pool of tears being held in are definitely going to overflow.

It sucks that I felt so stressed today! I wanted to be on time for the party, get the goody bags ready, and find out the Chucky Cheese details, I made it there late, was all distracted and confused when guests arrived, and had no idea what the host was telling me. Fortunetley I finally calmed down and the party was a success! Everyone invited showed, and Kaedon was so happy to have all of his friends there, and loved his gifts. Thank you guys for coming, and I was so happy to have my besties there! I really love and appreciate you guys SO much!

It's funny as I go back and read what I just wrote how evidient my insanity is. The first paragraph is excited and quick paced, the second is sentimental and loving, and the third is just kinda all over the place. LOL
I hope I can get it together soon. I guess owning my first home, and customixing so much of it is a big deal to me, and I am also really trying to get my business top notch! I can't wait to move in, get settled and start shooting in the studio! I'm really very excited! I hope you had fun reading this episode of " When Naomi's head turns..." I'll post pics tomorrow!

Exhausted and Overwhelmed

Do you ever get the feeling that your kids, and their toys, and clothes, and messes, and junk are closing in on you? We have been planning to have a large garage sale just before we move to get rid of most of stuff so that we can get new stuff :D And after spending the last 5 hours going thru kids stuff I am about to pass out!

I decided we might make a little more $$ if I sell a lot of it individually on craigslist instead of 50 cents for all my kids toys and $5.00 for the rest of everything we own. So far, I sold Jace's old crib and dresser, ONE of kaedon's train table( yes, he had two) and some Thomas stuff to go with it, a wicker vanity set that was my MILs, and more that I cant think of atm. I think just that stuff has made us about $1000 and that's not even half of what we need to get rid of. The only things we are moving is our bedroom furniture, and the kids bed and a few toys and shelves. THATS IT!!! I have SO much to do. We spent the whole weekend going thru our garage and getting stuff up on c list. This is what made me realize my kids have WAY to much stuff. GAH I cant even leave the store without buying them something. Not anymore, there's just too much. This is just part of what we are selling- and there is even more they are keeping. And these are JUST toys!!! OMG. My kids are spoiled! :-P

Austin Parents and Photographers

My new Flickr group! I had the idea to start a playgroup for moms and dads who are also photographers. I have been thinking about this for quite a while but never knew who I would get to join, or if anyone would even want to. Well I finally just decided to go ahead and start one and invite all of my contacts on Flickr who live in Austin and have kids. So far it has been a great success! We already have 19 members and our first two meetups were awesome.

The whole idea of the group is to be able to get together and discuss technique, tips, ideas and anything we need help with. We also get to bring our kids and have playdates during the week and mini shoots to practice our skill and learn more. On Thursday we had a meet at an awesome park in Austin and got to take pictures of every one's kids and each other. I had so much fun and I love everyone in the group! I can't wait until our next one :D

She's Crafty

That's right, I am..sometimes. I guess I need to get that beastie boys song playing on here!

So I didn't have much faith that I would be able to learn to knit, or even have the time, but my bestie inspired me to get off my butt and try it out. She is going to school ,has two kids at home- one under 6 months old, and is even talking about working nights! She still cleans her house, cooks dinner, plays with the kids, and keeps up with her crafty time. I figured if she could do it with all of that going on, I might as well give it a try. So yay! I just started yesterday and I've got this whole knit stitch thing down! lol Now to get this friggin scarf made is gonna probably take me til next year, but hey it will be cold by then so that works out great! I hope I can get this one done and it turn out okay. I really want to be able to make some cute hats and cocoons for photo props. I'll keep you posted.

I also made some new tutus this week. I really need to get these made and looking good too because I may bet some girlies to use them on soon.

Little Girls and Baby {J} at 5 months

I had the pleasure of a second shoot with one of my favorite families last Saturday!
The cutest set of triplets and their big sister! The set was turning two and I was a little waery, but they sure did surprise me! i can't believe how awesome they did! It took a second to warm up but once they did we had so much fun. And big sister was awesome! She is such a good listener and helper, and a beautiful little girl. I can't wait 'til the next session. I love these kiddos.

I also got to visit my bestie yesterday and get some pics of baby J again! Man, everytime I see him he gets cuter and cuter. He was even having a good hair day yesterday. Ilove that he is trying to sit up now and smiling like crazy. he seems to be getting more comfortable with me, and flashes the biggest grins ever.

New wedding Blog

Soooo It's late and I should be in bed since I have an early shoot tomorrow, but I decided to let everyone know about the new wedding blog!!!

Christina made it look awesome with the sweet black and white background, and I made the newly wed header and thought of the name after we came up with some of the dumbest stuff for about an hour. lol
I figure if we make a regular website we can just call it www.newlywedphotos.com and have alink to the blog. Since we are still starting out with teh wedding business as partners I think the blog will suffice for now. Check it out at http://www.newlywedphotos.blogspot.com/

We wrote our first post and there are a few pictures from our first shared wedding. Samantha was a previous client of mine and her wedding was a lot of fun! I can't wait to show her all of the photos. I plan on having a slideshow done possibly this weekend so I may post the link on the new blog. Stay tuned for future wedding posts.

I also have my fave triplets to shoot in the morning so I will post their pictures next week!
